Terms and Conditions

Payments

By making a payment, the hirer acknowledges and agrees to the Terms & Conditions stated on www.melbournedjhire.com. A deposit is required to secure the event date and time, and the booking cannot be confirmed until this deposit is received. The remaining balance must be paid to Melbourne DJ Hire no later than 14 days prior to the event, unless alternative arrangements have been made. If the client changes the location or venue of the event, a travel surcharge or set-up fee may apply.

Cancellation

All deposits and payments are non-refundable. If the hirer cancels the event at least 60 days before the scheduled date, the deposit may be applied to a future booking within a six-month period, excluding blackout dates. Blackout dates include Friday and Saturday evenings from the second weekend in November to New years day. Any changes to the time or location of the event must be communicated at least 30 days in advance, to ensure our commitment to the changes. If the hirer has booked multiple services and decides to cancel one of the services, the deposit for the cancelled service cannot be transferred to cover the remaining cost of the other services.

Refunds

Customers acknowledge that dissatisfaction with our performance at their event does not entitle them to a refund, either partial or full. However, we value and take customer feedback very seriously and we will endeavour to do our best to reach a fair and suitable outcome to satisfy both parties.

Delivery & Service

The delivery, setup, and removal of our equipment are provided free of charge and will be conducted outside the rental period. Our team will aim to arrive 30-60 minutes prior to the hire time for setup. The hirer is responsible for organizing parking & arranging clear access into the venue to avoid delays. If an earlier setup time is required, this can be arranged through discussion with Melbourne DJ Hire, and an idle fee may apply for setups scheduled significantly earlier than the designated 30-60 minutes.

Damages

By confirming a booking, the hirer hereby agrees to assume full responsibility & repairs/replacements costs for all damages incurred to the equipment, regardless of whether such damages are caused by patrons, guests, or any other individuals present at the event. In the event that a third party is determined to be at fault, the hirer remains liable for the full cost of repairs and replacement.

Use of images

When engaging services from Melbourne DJ Hire, images captured during the event may be utilized for promotional and advertising purposes, unless explicit instructions to the contrary are provided before the event commences. Melbourne DJ Hire warrants that no unsuitable images will be utilized on its website or for promotional activities, and further guarantees that no content deemed potentially injurious to any individual will be disseminated.

Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure to fulfil our obligations under this agreement due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to labour disputes, power disruptions, service interruptions, fires, natural disasters, or any similar unforeseen event. A reasonable downtime may be necessary to address technical or operational issues of our equipment.

Misconduct Policy

The client assumes full responsibility for the conduct of themselves and all attendees at the event, irrespective of invitation status. Our personnel will not tolerate any form of misconduct, including physical, verbal, or intimidating behaviour. Should such behaviour occur, our personnel reserve the right to suspend operations until the issue is resolved. Failure to resolve the matter promptly may result in the cessation of services and the removal of equipment from the premises. No refunds will be issued, as our personnel have the right to work in a safe environment.

Furthermore, our personnel maintain the authority to cease operations and deactivate equipment if misuse or potential damage is observed during the event. Should any individual engage in threatening, abusive, or violent conduct toward our personnel, equipment deactivation and removal may follow as necessary. Please be advised that under such circumstances, refunds will not be provided.

Any variations to these Terms & Conditions must be agreed to in writing by Melbourne DJ Hire.
