There was an event where one of our Melbourne djs and our photobooth was hired for a public event at the car park of a large shopping center and our photobooth was set up behind a marquee and around a corner. It was actually impossible for the public to see that there was a photobooth set up there. Beauty and the Booths attendant had to walk out onto the pathway to ask all the families to take a photo in the free photobooth. So the position of the photobooth is extremely important. Place the photobooth near the kids section like a jumping castle or the stage and make sure everyone can see it.
Signage is also very important. Melbourne Dj hire and Beauty and the Booth worked at a public event together where our booth was set up inside a shop as part of the festival but there was no signage to say that there was a photobooth inside. Beauty and the Booth come to events with little signs that says ‘free photobooth’ but when there are so many other signs and lights around you really need a later sign letting people know there is a photobooth inside.
